Patience - Oil Painting

I have been working on this thing since June, when I got the grand idea to paint the most complicated rose I could find. The petals in the center of the rose took me much longer to paint than I expected because of the complex folding and shading they possessed. After about six months of on-and-off work on the painting, it's finally finished. I like to wait until I finish my roses before coming up with a title, just to see how I feel about them. Because "Damned Rose" would offend some people's sensibilities, I chose instead to title it "Patience," something I continuously exhausted while working on it.
