It's been a while.....

Sun Mar 15, 2009, 11:24 AM
It's been three months since I've uploaded a new journal. I really should have done this more often, but college has really kept me busy. This semester is involving much more work than last semester, and I'm having to study more. I obviously have not slacked off in painting, as I am taking a painting class this semester; I have just slacked off in taking pictures of the pieces. I hope to have three or four pictures of my new paintings uploaded here soon, but no promises! ;)

You're not the only one kept up by school (not me, but I know of others. ;)) I'll gladly wait patiently for you and your artwork and I'm sure your other fans will do the same. :D

Good for you to have painting class. Will it be your major? You'll soon be doing well in art, as well in other subjects since you seem to be a serious student.
I'm happy even though I do not have an art career :) Have a great week ahead

I am actually going to be a chemistry major and an art minor. I would do a doublt-major, but I go to a private college, and that would just be too expensive. I'm lucky to have gotten everything paid for as it is. You have a great week, too!

Please help me understand, how could it be more expensive when everything has been paid for? Also, I thought once you are in (college) you can even take as many classes as you can or have as many...majors as you could handle?

Currently, I am able to take up to 18 credit hours a semester with my full-tuition scholarship. If I choose to do a double major, I will end up going over the 18 hours and will be charged $630/credit hour over 18 hours.

Thanks for your explanation. I never took more than 15 units each quarter when I was in college, so I did not know you had to pay extra if you went over the limit. However, I remember my son mentioning about taking over the limit of classes and he never mentioned about paying extra. He was also on scholarship at a private university. Could that be different (private) universities, different policies?
