Artist's Comments

I chose to paint this bird because I feel that, despite Americans typifying it as the national bird, it is one of the most majestic creatures on the planet. I enjoy the way it looks - no matter what pose it is in or what action it is taking, it always looks frighteningly beautiful.

I also admire this bird because of its resilience when fighting for its survival. The species has made a huge comeback with respect to its population in recent years since it was put on the endangered species list.

Thank you. I looked at your artwork and am quite impressed. It is nice to meet a fellow wildlife artist on here.

Thanks! I'm sure you like the fact that it's a bird of prey, too!

Yeah, it is nice to know I'm not the only one painting birds of prey!
