I seem to be really laid-back this semester for some reason. This is odd because I've got a pretty heavy course-load this semester. I think I've FINALLY gotten it into my head that stress never helps, and I find myself not getting bogged-down with work like I did all last year.
Anyway, about art. I was rejected in all three pieces that I submitted to the Oak Ridge Art Center's "Open Show 2009". I'm not disheartened in the least, and I learned a few things from the juror's critiques (even though he sounded like an asshole in one of them). I'm revisiting some of my finished paintings and adding details and different parts, and I'm trying to finish this one flower that I've been on for a month (I'll probably still be working on it by the time Open Show 2010 rolls around). I'm keeping a positive outlook on life and will hopefully survive sophomore year in college! Best wishes to all my watchers!
